Motorway Driving

by Paul on Sunday 2nd August, 2009 at 11:08 COMMENTS (1)

Many young drivers say they aren't confident about driving on motorways because they haven't been taught how to deal with the higher speeds or how to join one, according to AA research.

Only 44% of female drivers between 18 and 24 said they felt comfortable. Although it's not part of this research, I would also like to add that many experienced drivers are also not used to driving on similar high speed roads.

For example, try asking your parents what the speed limit is, on a national speed dual carriageway?

Obviously it's time for the driving test to involve some specialist tuition.

It's definitely a good idea to get some suport first time on the motorway, to help you cope with the behaviour of other drivers!
